Breathe.

An orb that grows and shrinks, and your breath following it. Choose a rhythm, choose the time you have — five minutes is plenty — and let the rest be simple.

Before you start

These are well-being practices, not treatment. Do them sitting or lying down, never while driving or in water. If you are pregnant, or live with a heart or respiratory condition or epilepsy, talk to your doctor first. If you feel light-headed, return to your usual breathing.

Why it works

The out-breath does the work.

Breathing is the one automatic function you can also steer by hand — and that is how you get to speak to the nervous system. When the out-breath is longer than the in-breath, the body reads it as a sign that nothing needs solving right now: the heart rate comes down, and the shoulders come down with it. You don’t have to believe any of it; just follow the pace for a few minutes and notice what changes.

Take it with you

It also works on its own, with no Internet.

Breathe can live on your phone’s home screen, with its own icon, and open like an app — no address bar and no connection needed. It is the same tool, from the same house: use it here on the site or from the icon, whichever suits you. To install it, use the “Install on your phone” button below the guide.

At Mentes Cristalinas

Breathing is a beginning, not the whole story.

This tool belongs to the house and stays open to everyone, with no sign-up and nothing asked in return. When what keeps repeating needs more than a rhythm, there are other doors here: the self-observation tools, Isabel’s guided audio practices and, if it makes sense, a conversation.

Nothing leaves your device: the tool runs entirely in the browser and sends nothing anywhere. All that stays on the device is the rhythm and the length you chose, and a note that you have seen the guided tour — so you don’t have to choose again every time you open it.

This is a well-being practice, not treatment, and it does not replace clinical support. In crisis, don’t wait: SNS 24 — 808 24 24 24 · Emergency: 112.
